On Sunday 18 December, Caribbean Airlines welcomed the arrival of its second ATR 72-600 aircraft. The arrival of ATR aircraft 9Y-TTB comes just four weeks after the airline took receipt of the first ATR 600 series aircraft, currently operating within the Caribbean.

Caribbean Airlines chose the ATR 600 series to replace its ageing Dash-8 fleet and is expected to see reduced fuel consumption and operating costs, whilst increasing passenger capacity and flight frequency. Caribbean Airlines currently operates the ATR fleet on its inter-regional routes.
