28 October 2011, Piarco, Trinidad and Tobago, W.I – Caribbean Airlines was voted the “Best Caribbean Airline” by World Travel Awards recently held in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The World Travel Awards is the most prestigious, comprehensive and sought after awards programme in the global travel and tourism industry. “To be voted a World Travel Awardee through a process involving 183,000 travel tourism and hospitality professionals across the globe, is the highest accolade a company can receive. We are two brands, One Airline, “One Caribbean Airline” and we are honoured to accept this award as our vision is to be the first choice carrier in the Caribbean” stated Caribbean Airlines Senior Marketing Manager Alicia Cabrera.

This was the second consecutive year that Caribbean Airlines has won the award, preceded by Air Jamaica, winners of the award between 1998 and 2009. Other airlines nominated in the same category included Air Canada, American Airlines, Bahamas Air, Delta Airlines and Liat.
