Piarco, Trinidad, W.I., 11 May 2011 – Machel Montano is set to be the latest celebrity to be a part of Caribbean Airlines’ Karaoke Caravan finale which takes place this coming Sunday at Fiesta Plaza, Movie Towne, Port of Spain. Since April 16, children twelve and under have been able to sing for a chance to win two tickets to Orlando, Florida. The airline’s Karaoke promotion saw three Karaoke sessions taking place around Trinidad which gave youngsters the opportunity to show off their singing skills.

Caribbean Airlines’ Marketing Manager Alicia Cabrera noted that the prime focus of the promotion was to encourage children under 12 to showcase their talent. “We thought that there was no better way to promote our new service to Orlando than to highlight the talent of our youth. In engaging our local cultural ambassador Machel Montano as a judge, we hope that young children will relate to our local icon and see him as someone that represents success in the entertainment industry both at home and internationally.”

Caribbean Airlines contributes to numerous philanthropic causes and is an avid supporter of the development of youth, culture and the arts. The promotion is headed by the Caribbean Airlines marketing team who will also be taking the caravan to Tobago at the end of May after its Movie Towne finale on 15 May. Each participant will receive a token from Caribbean Airlines just for competing, with a special prize being awarded for to parents who sing the Caribbean Airlines jingle “I’m flying with Caribbean” in recognition of the amazing support given to the children during the course of the national competition.

The Orlando service flights will be operating from Piarco International Airport to MCO International Airport in Orlando on Tuesdays and Fridays from 5 July until 2 September.
