Caribbean Airlines on 16 July 2008 celebrated the official opening of its renovated and re-branded ticket office at Crown Point International Airport in Tobago.

“This celebration is a display of Caribbean Airlines’ commitment to the air bridge linking Trinidad and Tobago,” said Caribbean Airlines CEO Philip Saunders. “We take our responsibility for providing that essential service very seriously and are pleased that we have been able to do so reliably and with service that demonstrates our motto – the warmth of the islands.”

Attending the celebration were Chief Secretary of Tobago House of Assembly Honourable Orville London, Tobago Secretary of Tourism and Transportation Councillor Neil Wilson, Tobago business leaders, Caribbean Airlines customers and staff.

“Since assuming responsibility for the air bridge, there has been a marked improvement in the airline’s on time performance,” said Wilson. “We are witnessing another event designed to improve service to the traveling public. I applaud Caribbean Airlines for this initiative and trust that they will continue to respond to the needs of the people of Trinidad and Tobago.”

Saunders stated the airline was committed to enhancing the service to Tobago, and commended the efforts of the Caribbean Airlines staff.

“Our people have accomplished much since the launch of Caribbean Airlines – including on-time performance that has consistently exceeded 90 percent in recent months,” he said. “It is with their dedication and passion that we will continue to enhance our operation, meet the needs of our customers and successfully move the airline forward.”
