Important information on fees and penalties

Other fees or penalties that maybe incurred before or after completing your booking:

Baggage fees:

• Overweight baggage fees not exceeding US$50.00 or local equivalent
• Extra bag fees not exceeding US$150.00 or local equivalent
• Extra bag / overweight fees not exceeding US$200.00 or local equivalent
• Cabin baggage and extra seat – applicable and available base fare charged
  

Unaccompanied minor fee:

• UM fee of US$100 (or local equivalent) applied each way, except for domestic travel

Oxygen fee:

• Oxygen fee of US$50. (or local equivalent) for each bottle. Fee is non-refundable and is subject to doctor's confirmation.

Reservation date change fees:

• North America - CA/US$125.
• Intra Caribbean fares - CA/US$50 excluding Barbados
• Barbados - US$25.00

Reservation change fees:

• Reissue fee - US$5.00/CAD$5.00
• Spelling correction fee - US$20.00.; only permitted for first name corrections.
  Last name corrections require you to cancel and rebook.

Cancellation fees:

• North America:
  • Fares levels T, V, G, X, U, S – non refundable*
  • Fares levels Q, N - 50% cancellation
  • Fare levels H, L, B, M, K, Y, C, D, J – CA/US$100.
• Caribbean / South America:
  • Barbados fare level G - US$50.
  • Barbados fare levels V, T, L, B, C, D - US$25. (excluding between Barbados and Kingston)
  • Between Barbados and Kingston fare levels V, T, L, B, C, D - US$50.
  • Barbados fare levels J and K – no cancellation fees apply
  • All other Caribbean/South America destinations fare levels (excluding J, Y, K) – US$50.
  • All other Caribbean/South America destinations fare levels J, Y, K – no cancellation apply

Refund fees:

• Refund processing fee CA/US$20. (imposed where a cancellation penalty is not already being charged)

Lost ticket penalty:

• North American - CA/US$100.
• Caribbean/South America - US$40/CA$50.

Caribbean Miles fees and penalties:

• Miles Purchase – US$30 per thousand. Customer must have a minimum of 80% of the applicable miles for flight sectors.
• Reward required 8-14 days before travel date – US$25.
• Reward required 4-7 days before travel date: Between the Caribbean & North America and between Guyana & North America – US$35. Between the Caribbean and South America and Intra- Caribbean – US25.
• Reward required 1-3 days before travel date or same day of travel: Between the Caribbean & North America and between Guyana & North America – US$50. Between the Caribbean and South America and Intra- Caribbean – US25.
• Date Change - Change of reservations on rewards redeemed for travel between
  • the Caribbean and South America and Intra – Caribbean – US$50.
  • the Caribbean and North America and Guyana and North America – US$100.
• Redeposit Miles - Redeposit of miles awarded for travel between
  • the Caribbean and South America and Intra- Caribbean – US$50.
  • the Caribbean and North America and Guyana and North America – US$100.
• Business Class Upgrade - Booking class upgrade from economy to business for travel. Customer must purchase either B/K/Y fare level to be eligible for class upgrade from economy to business.
  • the Caribbean and South America and Intra – Caribbean – US$30.
  • the Caribbean and North America and Guyana and North America – US$50.

Club Caribbean fees and penalties:

• Enrollment/Renewal:
  • One Year Individual – US$350.
  • Individual and Co-applicant – US$615.
  • Corporate for 6 or more members – US$300. per person

All fees and penalties are subject to the statutory laws of each country. Trinidad and Tobago laws specify that VAT is to be applied on fees and penalties for travel originating or sold out of Trinidad or Tobago (except for travel between Trinidad and Tobago).

* The value of the ticket can be applied to another ticket of equal or higher value within one year of the date of issue. In the case of a higher value, the difference in cost will be charged.
