Ticket Refunds

Partially Used Tickets

All partially used tickets are subject to immigration requirements. This can be established in a variety of ways:-

  • show proof of another ticket being purchased,
  • stamped proof from immigration of passport showing passenger having status to remain in respective country or having left via other means,
  • work or study permit for respective country
  • detailed explanation from your Travel Agency on official letterhead

Refund procedures for credit card, cash or cheque or purchases from a Travel Agent will apply. You should submit your claim to your point of purchase i.e., either a Caribbean Airlines Reservations Office or your local Travel Agent.

Outdated Documents & Reissues

A document is valid for twelve (12) months from date of travel if used, or 12 months from date of issue if unused. Once the dates have passed, the document becomes outdated and is no longer valid for transportation or refund.

Documents will be honoured for reissue or refund within the validity period only. No transactions will be entertained after this period.

Reissues will be limited to a maximum of two (2) for the purpose of extension of validity. If you have reissued your ticket and are holding a Miscellaneous Charges Order (MCO), you would be entitled to a further extension once you submit your document within one year of the issue date. If you do not use this first MCO you may be granted a final reissue valid for one additional year. After this period your document will be considered invalid.

Each reissue for the purpose of extension of validity will attract a charge of US$100.00 or the administrative fee as per the fare rule, whichever is higher. This charge may be deducted from the value of the document.

Tickets are non-transferable.

You should submit your claim to your point of purchase i.e., either a Caribbean Airlines Reservations Office or your local Travel Agent.

Lost Tickets

If you have lost or failed to produce your paper ticket at check-in, a new ticket must be purchased in order for you to proceed to your destination.

The original dates of travel and bookings must be maintained for a refund to be considered. The carrier whose original stock has been used should also ticket the new document. Where the replacement ticket is of a higher value and other airlines are involved, correspondence would be initiated between carriers. This would result in the delay of a full refund applicable under lost ticket procedure.

Documents Required:
  1. Lost ticket report/form of indemnity must be completed and signed by the passenger and refund on the tickets purchased will be processed within ninety (90) days.
  2. The lost ticket number, date of purchase and place of issuance must be obtained from the passenger and a copy affixed of both lost and replacement ticket.
  3. A lost ticket penalty will be levied in the amount of US$ 100.00 or equivalent in local currency. Exceptions are for tickets issued in Canada, the charge will be CA$ 100.00 or tickets issued to travel Trinidad/Tobago/Trinidad the charge will be US$10.00. All charges are subject to local statutory taxes.
  4. In extreme circumstances, the reservations manager may use his/her discretion to replace the ticket supported by a police report that the ticket was indeed lost or stolen. The charge of US$100.00 will be levied at this time.

You should submit your claim to your point of purchase i.e., either a Caribbean Airlines Reservation Office or your local Travel Agent.
